Luke 1 The Annunciation to Mary

Faithful messengers bring good news of God's favour at Christmas.

Mary hears some good news that echoes the epic work God is doing in the world.  After over 400 years of prophetic silence in the scriptures, God comes to a young woman who wasn't looking for God, but finds favour anyway.

The gospel of Jesus Christ begins it's human-ness with Jesus' faithful mother, God's faithful servant.
