This stuff is a journalistic report by Luke. Why does Christmas matter? If nobody knows when Jesus was born, why does it matter that He was born? How He was born?

God's plan matches our desperate need and He has heard our cries to Him. God had a plan that works out for good, to those who love Him, to those who are called according to His purposes. "Everyone who calls on the name of the Lord will be saved."

The birth of the Messiah is worth celebrating, and this is a fine time to remember the birth of Christ. Let's be exact about the meaning of THIS solitary life.

We get distracted by the many other pursuits that are not about Jesus Christ during the Christmas season. But the communion table draws us to the essential work of the life of Christ.
