Romans 12 'Church'
Romans 12:4-6 "Just as our bodies have many parts and each part has a special function, so it is with Christ's body. We are many parts of one body, and we all belong to each other. In his grace, God has given us different gifts for doing certain things well..." (NLT)
Children's Address
"Here is the church, here is the steeple, open it up and there's all the people..."
Different aspects of how we effect the environment.
How what comes out of our hearts affects the environment around us.
Part 1
What is 'Church'?
Part 2
No man is an island.
Part 3
Here we have the Apostle Paul presenting a very familiar idea: The church as the 'Body of Christ'
Part 4
We are all in this together.
Part 5
The things we do, and the attitudes we bring, affect the environment of the fellowship.
What you bring, matters! Who you are becoming, and what you do in response to the challenges of life, THAT matters.
Part 6
What do you think is the least important body part?
We are, each one of us, important to the body of Christ.
Rom. 12:4-11 (NLT) 4 Just as our bodies have many parts and each part has a special function, 5 so it is with Christ's body. We are many parts of one body, and we all belong to each other. 6 In his grace, God has given us different gifts for doing certain things well. So if God has given you the ability to prophesy, speak out with as much faith as God has given you. 7 If your gift is serving others, serve them well. If you are a teacher, teach well. 8 If your gift is to encourage others, be encouraging. If it is giving, give generously. If God has given you leadership ability, take the responsibility seriously. And if you have a gift for showing kindness to others, do it gladly. 9 Don't just pretend to love others. Really love them. Hate what is wrong. Hold tightly to what is good. 10 Love each other with genuine affection, and take delight in honouring each other. 11 Never be lazy, but work hard and serve the Lord enthusiastically.

Are you willing to
be accountable to this group of people?
Will you answer to
others, for how you support others, as a part of this body?
Are you prepared to
answer to God in community,
for how you behave
privately?
Will you consider
today how your heart affects the church environment, the 'Body of Christ'?
